The Greater Tygerberg Partnership is a catalytic champion for the Greater Tygerberg Region. The are working towards the revitalisation of the Voortrekker Road Corridor and the Bellville CBD to ensure the social and economic well-being of Cape Town’s second metropolitan node for the benefit and enjoyment of all our citizens.
Communications Internship
Internship will entail:
- Developing press releases out of GTP events and activities
- Content development for GTP website
- Attend events on behalf of the GTP in order to develop necessary post event write-ups
- Assist project teams with communications of all projects and events
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in one of the related fields: Public relations; communication; journalism; copy-writing
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Must be able to work at all GTP events, some of which fall outside of working hours

Community Engagement Internship
Internship will entail:
- Identifying key stakeholders across GTP projects
- Arranging and attending meetings with the community and associated stakeholders
- Facilitating community conversations and identifying concerns, risks, and opportunities
- Providing structural feedback regarding community engagement to the projects team
- Taking initiative in developing ways to:
- a) creatively engage with the community
- b) develop project concepts for the GTP based on community engagements
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification
- Relevant tertiary qualification in one of the related fields: intercultural studies; community engagement; applied language studies; community planning; social development; social sciences
- Or relevant experience in community engagement and able to provide evidence thereof
