Patient Support Programme Nurse @CiplaRSA

Here is an opportunity to join Cipla, one of the largest generic and chronic medicines manufacturers with research, development and manufacturing facilities worldwide.

The purpose of Cipla’s Patient Support Programme Nurse is to Manage Copaxone® Support (Helpline and email address). Also to support Copaxone® patients (new and existing) and manage the SolusV2 Helpline. The Nurse is also required to assist with other patient support programs to be allocated as and when required by line manager e.g. Synchrobreathe®

Requirements:

  • Compassion for patient care
  • Well organised
  • Attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Exceptionally good communication and inter-personal skills

Education:

  • Graduate in Nursing/Sciences
  • Registered Nurse (with the SANC)

Experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
  • Good administrative skills
  • Computer literate

Duties & Responsibilities

Copaxone®

  • Startup of new patients on Copaxone® (Regionally)
  • Ensure that new patients understand the product and injection techniques
  • Plan quarterly calls/visits to existing Copaxone® patients (Regionally)
  • At least twice a year visit neurologists to provide feedback on existing Copaxone® patients (Regionally)
  • Compile all necessary information and documentation provided by the neurologists and patients, to be forwarded to the courier houses (Medipost & Pharmacy Direct etc.) for motivation of Copaxone with the medical aids
  • Provide feedback and keep the commercial team up to date regarding successful startup of new patients and when treatment has been approved by the medical aids
  • Manage the Copaxone® helpline
  • Manage the Copaxone® email address: [email protected]
  • Manage the Copaxone® patient database and keep up to date
  • Keep record of all communication and interaction with patients
  • Provide neurologists with documented feedback regarding their Copaxone® patients
  • Travel across SA as and when needed
  • Attend annual National Congress (NASA)
  • Attend annual Cipla Neuroscience Forum

SolusV2 Helpline

  • Manage the SolusV2 Helpline
  • Keep a log of all queries
  • Assist patients with SolusV2 meter (settings, control solution, batteries, etc.) and product queries
  • Advise on pharmacies in the area that stock SolusV2 (starter kit, test strips, lancets, control solution)
  • Storage of warranty cards
  • Assist with data downloads
  • Arrange to exchange faulty meters
  • Arrange for extra log book to be sent to patient
  • Assist in providing diabetes knowledge to other portfolios
  • Work with other commercial teams
  • Liaise with Medical department

General

  • Assist with other patient support programs to be allocated as and when required by line manager e.g. Synchrobreathe®
