Office of the Chief Justice Legal Internships 2025 (x2 posts)

The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) is offering an exciting opportunity for two Legal Interns to join their Graduate Internship Programme, starting from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2027.

Internship Application Closing Date: 07 March 2025

Internship Location: Braamfontein, Gauteng, South Africa

This two-year internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in the legal field, working at the prestigious Constitutional Court in Braamfontein.

Position Available:

  • Position Title: Legal Interns
  • Post Reference Number: 2024/13CC/OCJ (X2 POSTS)
  • Stipend: R7 450.62 per month
  • Centre: Constitutional Court, Braamfontein

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Matric Certificate
  • LLB (Bachelor of Laws) Degree at NQF Level 8 with 480 credits, as recognized by SAQA.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Legal Intern within the Office of the Chief Justice, you will:

  • Assist in legal research and case preparation.
  • Gain exposure to high-level judicial proceedings.
  • Support experienced legal professionals in the analysis of cases and the application of the law.
  • Help prepare court documents and assist in the administration of justice.
