Key Requirements:
To be eligible for the HR Practitioner position, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification: An undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) or equivalent, recognized by SAQA. An undergraduate qualification in Human Resource Management will be an added advantage.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the HR field or related areas.
- Certifications: A PERSAL Certificate or results.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license (Note: persons with disabilities are exempt).
- Core Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- High level of accuracy and professionalism
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Key Responsibilities:
The HR Practitioner will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including:
- Recruitment and Selection:
- Administering the recruitment and selection process for various positions within the department.
- Ensuring compliance with recruitment policies and procedures.
- Staff Transfers and Placement:
- Administering staff transfers, placements, and relocations.
- Managing secondments and allowances associated with these movements.
- Leave and Service Benefits Management:
- Administering leave matters and ensuring accurate records.
- Handling various service benefits such as long service awards, housing allowances, and financial guarantees.
- Termination Administration:
- Managing employee terminations, including the processing of necessary documentation.
- General HR Administration:
- Ensuring the accurate maintenance of employee data and HR records.
- Providing support in the restructuring of salary packages and implementing new personnel-related policies.
