Job Purpose:
The role of the Call Centre Agent involves handling face-to-face, telephonic, and email interactions with customers regarding all City of Tshwane services. As a Call Centre Agent, you will be responsible for providing high-quality customer service, resolving complaints, and assisting in ensuring the smooth operation of the city’s services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers through various communication channels to address their needs, process requests, and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Complaint Management: Actively manage and resolve customer complaints, always striving to meet the city’s standards of service excellence.
- Data Management: Efficiently capture and record customer requests, information, and service interruptions.
- Service Delivery: Maintain quality standards by identifying customer needs and processing them effectively.
Appointment Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Education: A Grade 12 certificate is essential.
- Experience: At least two years of relevant experience in customer care or call centre services, along with experience in call centre technology systems.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the City of Tshwane’s operations, billing processes, and Batho Pele principles is a plus.
- Skills: Candidates must be computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of SAP CIC and CRM systems will be advantageous.
- Criminal Record Check: Applicants must undergo a criminal record check, and fingerprints will be required to be taken by the TMPD (at own cost).
- Location Flexibility: Applicants should be willing to work at various regional customer care centres, depending on operational needs.
