South Deep Gold Mine is offering learning opportunities for Level 2 Electro / Mechanical and Level 3 – 4 in the following trades Electrician, Fitter, Instrument Mechanician, Plater / Welder, Diesel Mechanic and Rigger / Ropesman learnerships.
Electro / Mechanical: Level 2
- South Deep Gold Mine is looking for dynamic, self-motivated individuals with the intention to enter into a learnership at Level 2 for Electro / Mechanical
- Candidates who have Grade 10 (Standard 8) with good mathematics and science marks or relevant N1 qualification (4 subjects) with Maths & Science including trade theory subject and N1 engineering drawing for the mechanical trades or N1 industrial electronics for electrical and instrumentation trades
Learnership applicants must:
have at least a full N2 qualification (4 subjects) Engineering Mathematics. Engineering Science. Relevant trade theory and engineering drawing (mechanical trades) or industrial electonics (electrical and instrumentation trades)
Electrican Learnership applicants must:
- Have N2 mathematics, engineering science, N2 electrical trade theory, and N2 industrial electronics
Fitter Learnership applicants must:
- Have N2 mathematics, engineering science, N2 fitting & machining trade theory, N2 engineering drawing
Instrument Mechanician Learnership applicants must:
- Have N2 mathematics, engineering science, N2 instrumentation trade theory, N2 industrial electronics
Plater / Welder Learnership applicants must:
- Have N2 mathematics, engineering science, N2 plater trade theory, N2 plater structural and steel drawing
Diesel Mechanic Learnership applicants must:
- Have N2 mathematics, engineering science, N2 diesel / motor trade, N2 engineering drawing
Rigger Learnership applicants must:
- Have N2 mathematics, engineering science, N2 rigging trade theory, N2 engineering drawing
How To Apply
All applicants must be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre.
