eNCA is looking for a Junior Current Affairs Producer to join the Judge for Yourself & Justice Factor teams. In this position, you will be part of the Current Affairs Department in Johannesburg.

Reporting to the Executive Producer your Key Performance Areas will include:

• Developing content for both shows, constantly coming up with ideas
• Setting up guests for both shows
• Doing research and writing scripts
• Doing inserts for current affairs shows
• Attending and participating actively in daily production and editorial meetings
• Writing and producing promos for both shows, including sourcing of visuals
• Assist with other current affairs shows where necessary
• Create rundown and produce live shows

Requirements

• Journalism Diploma/Degree qualification
• A passion for News and Current affairs
• An avid interest in legal issues
• A thorough understanding of South Africa’s social, political and economic situation
• A thorough understanding of international politics and current affairs
• Be convincing, persuasive and tenacious
• Have good news contacts and sources
• Some experience as a journalist
• Be well-read and have an excellent general knowledge
• Initiative
• Working independently
• Ability to work well in a team

Note: The successful candidate will be required to work irregular hours including weekends and public holidays.
