If you’re interested in the vast, challenging and exciting field of broadcasting. South Africa’s only free-to-air commercial TV channel, e.tv, is looking for a Customer Care Centre Agent in Cape Town. Reporting to the Customer Care Manager your Key Performance Areas will include:
- Receiving incoming viewer calls
- Screening all calls and escalating to the relevant departments or persons
- Resolving and responding to customer queries, complaints, comments and suggestions via the telephone,fax, post, email and Social media.
- Providing advice to callers about technical and programming related issues
- Promotion of the e and OpenView HD (OVHD) brand names and loyalty to the channel through excellent service delivery
- Ad-hoc monitoring of transmission of e and OVHD channels in order to pro-actively identify and report transmission problems
- Selling of Local Programming material
- Logging all viewer information on our Customer Relationship Management Software.
- Sourcing programming, technical and other related information from other divisions/companies as required
Requirements:
- Matric
- Communication related qualification
- Computer literacy: MS word, MS excel and MS outlook
- Exposure to customer services, client liaison or contact centres is an added advantage
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent voice/telephone manner
- A good understanding of social media
- Must be bilingual
- Must have the aptitude to grasp technical information relating to television sets and decoders
Note: This is a 1 year contract position and an ideal opportunity to enter the exciting and dynamic industry of television broadcasting. The successful candidate will be required to work irregular hours including weekends and public holidays.
