Netcare is looking for a CSSD Assistant at Waterfall City Hospital. The incumbent will be responsible for the accompanying patients to and from the wards as well as any general tasks that may be required.
Responsibiities
- Pack, process and supply wards, units and theatres with all sterile requirements timeously
- Responsibility for CSSD which includes:-
- Correct usage and handling of equipment
- Stock Control and Cost containment
- Standard setting / maintenance
- Medico-legal applications
- Knowledge of policies and procedures
- Teaching
Requirements
- Minimum of a Grade 12 Certificate
- Ability to work well under pressure and to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions
- The ability to display a good customer-focus by developing and sustaining productive customer relationships
- The ability to prioritize by managing time and resources to ensure that work is completed effectively and timeously
- Ability to produce work of a high quality standard by accurately checking processes and tasks
- The ability to maintain a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge by keeping abreast of current development and trends in the medical related field impacting on the post
- The ability to set high standards of performance for self and others, and assuming the overall responsibility and accountability for the successful completions of assignments or tasks
- The ability to maintain stable performance under pressure by handling stress in an acceptable way to personnel and the organisation
- Available to work flexible hours if and when required
Experience
- Previous experience will be an advantage
- CSSD experience preferable
