Want a job where you’ll make an impact from day one? ThoughtWorks South Africa is searching for a Recruiting/Human Resources Intern. As a Recruiting Intern, you’ll be involved in making sure that interviewing at ThoughtWorks is an amazing experience.
This is a varied role supporting our recruiting team. You will be working with three key sets of stakeholders: our recruiting team, our consultants and our candidates. Your job will be to make sure that we’re balancing the needs of all three so that everyone has a pleasant experience. It is a three month only employment contract and you must be available to start working on the 13th of June 2016. The position is based in our Braamfontein office in Johannesburg.

We’re looking for the following
- Get-it-done mentality. You know that amazing experiences take time, often yours, and you’re always willing to give that little bit extra to get things done.
- Problem-solving and process improvement skills. You would enjoy finding that cool way to run an assessment day, building a new process to get all of our feedback in our recruiting database and getting to grips with 10,000 moving parts.
- Kind of geeky. We use a recruiting system called Avature we need someone who’s a little bit geeky to be able to get to grips with it. And of course, we’re a technology consultancy, so as you can imagine, we like a lot of cool tech around here.
- Organised yet flexible. You’ll bring order but with enough flexibility that we can adapt when this is required; you’re not daunted when some of your hard work has to be changed.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling interviews with ThoughtWorks candidates and ThoughtWorkers in a timely manner to facilitate efficient management of the candidate pipeline
- Supporting the gathering of interview feedback across the various stages of the ThoughtWorks recruiting process
- Involvement in the organisation of recruitment events and activities
- Involvement in the reporting of key recruitment statistics to the management team
